21st Waterloo-Ride 19-20 June 2010

The Dutch Cavalry Officers Association (VOC)  has been organising the bi - annual  “Waterloo Ride” since 1968.
The 21th Ride will be held in the week-end of 19 and 20 June 2010.

Participants are (reserve) cavalry officers preferably accompanied by their wives.

The President of the Cavalry Officers Association is Major General Jhr. J.H. de Jonge

Friday 18th June       : Accommodation in Hotel Bristol Stephanie (optional)

 

Saturday 19th June

 

11.00 - 12.30 hrs        : Reception (no. 2 dress, service dress) at Ambessador

13.00 hrs                    : Lunche

15.00 hrs                    : Visit jumping games caserne

19.30 hrs                    : Gala-dinner in the Club des Officiers du Régiment des Guides

                                     (Blues or mess-kit , evening dress)
                                   : Accommodation in Hotel Bristol Stephanie

 

Sunday 20th June

 

07.00 hrs                    : Breakfast

07.45 hrs                    : Departure for Manege Gaillemarde in Ter Hulpe  servicedress riding, hard riding cap obligatory

08.10 hrs                    : Arrival at Manege

09.00 hrs                    : Start of the “Waterloo Ride”

12.30 hrs                    : Charge in front of the Lion at Waterloo, followed by break for refreshments

15.00 hrs                    : Luncheon at Club Gaillemarde in Ter Hulpe

17.00 hrs                    : End of the “Waterloo Ride”

Please state date of arrival & departure, if you will be accompanied by your wife/partner and if you will bring your horse.

Reservations of rooms , horses , etc. will be arranged by the organisers.

Officers who could bring their own horse are encouraged to do so as horses are the limiting factor, stabling will be arranged.
